Returns & Refunds Policy

Returns

Perishable goods unfortunately cannot be returned if the product has been opened or the security seal around the fastening has been damaged. 

Refunds (if applicable)

If you aren't satisfied with the condition of a product that you receive from us following an online purchase please contact us immediately using the Contact Form with full feedback and attached pictures of the product you received. 

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a 14 business days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.  

Sale items (if applicable)

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

 
 

Billing Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to the use of, and orders placed on the www.athru.com website. By placing an order with Lough Gill Distillery you will of deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Lough Gill Distillery.

Orders & Payment 

Our products are hand-finished in small batches, making them limited edition. All items are sold on a first come, first served basis. If you have placed an order for a product which has sold out we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know when one will be available for you. Please also note that single malt whiskey is produced in small batches and may no longer be bottled to order. We will notify you if this is the case at the time of order. 

Payment for orders made on our online store are accepted via Stripe and Paypal. Once you have placed an order with us you should receive an order confirmation detailing the items purchased and delivery address entered.

We reserve the right to refuse an order when we cannot obtain a payment , there has been a pricing or product description error.

Shipping COSTS

The prices displayed on this site are exclusive of shipping costs which are calculated separately during the checkout process depending on the delivery address associated with the order. Delivery costs will be clearly shown during the check out process, prior to the order being confirmed and payment taken. Please note it is not currently possible to collect orders directly from the distillery.

Illustrative multi-currency pricing 

All transactions entered on this website will be processed in Euros based on the exchange rate and charges used by your bank, e-wallet or payment network provider at the time. We may also display equivalent prices in alternative currencies based on estimated exchange rates at the time. These rates are illustrative only and the actual amount debited will be determined by your bank, e-wallet or payment network provider at the time the payment is processed.

What are PCI DSS?

PCI DSS stands for the Payment Cards Industry Data Security Standards. The PCI is an organisation made up of major card companies like Visa, Mastercard, JCB and American Express. These new international standards are designed to improve the security of card payments and reduce fraud. Squarespace’s payment processor, Stripe, is PCI compliant. Warped Textiles uses Stripe to provide card transaction services and Stripe has been audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. For further reassurance please read Stripe’s Security statement.

Security of information / data storage

Lough Gill Distillery’s online shop is hosted by Squarespace, alongside our site we use Stripe and PayPal to enable card transactions. Stripe provides the technical, fraud prevention, and banking infrastructure required to operate our on-line payment systems. Squarespace and Stripe provide us with the online services that allows us to sell our products to you. Squarespace and Stripe store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. Your address and email address is sent to us so that we can complete your order, we have no access to any of your payment card details.

All prices quoted on our website are in pounds sterling. Please remember that your order will become legally binding as soon as we have accepted it and will not be dispatched until we have received payment in full. Prices and availability of item(s) and postage are subject to change without prior notice. If you wish to add products to your order, change your delivery address, remove items from your order or cancel it completely, please contact us as soon as possible at sales@loughgilldistillery.com. Packages returned to us that need to be sent out again will incur another postage charge.

 
 

Shipping Policy

Shipping

Your product will be delivered by UPS and you will be emailed a unique tacking number to enable you to track your delivery directly with them. Please note that it is not possible to collect orders from the distillery at present. The cost of deliveries is calculated at the check out stage of your purchase depending on the delivery destination and delivery option selected. The shipping charge will be clearly shown during the checkout process prior to confirming your order and payment is taken.

Delivery timeslot will be allocated by UPS once your order is placed. Amendments to delivery times should be arranged directly with UPS. We reserve the right to use alternate delivery companies in certain territories and will inform you accordingly of such arrangements at the time.

Taxation and Duties

Lough Gill Distillery shall be responsible for and shall discharge the costs of any sales tax, alcohol duty and any export duties levied by or on behalf of the Republic of Ireland. These costs are included in the prices displayed on this site, unless otherwise stated.

Additional import duty and taxes may be levied by your local taxation offices. Any such charges shall be the responsibility of the purchaser. Lough Gill Distillery will not be liable for any import duties or administrative charges levied by any taxation or other bodies outside of the Republic of Ireland.
