Aged for 14 years in American bourbon casks and finished for three in the finest Oloroso sherry cask, waves of dried fruit and warming spices mingle with rich noble wood, creating a superb high aged malt. The cask yielded just 310 bottles at 54.7%.

This single cask is yielded just 250 bottles at 56% ABV and is the most exclusive of our cask reserve bottlings. Constructed from spicy European oak (Quercus robur) it previously held Tokaji sweet wine produced in Hungarian vineyards originally planted in the 18th century for Catherine the Great. This sweet, fragrant whiskey is bursting with citrus and apricot notes and just a hint of honey.

Drawn from a single ex Pedro Ximenez sweet sherry barrel, this sticky whiskey oozes dark sugars and dried fruits. The cask yielded just 280 bottles at 56.5% and as the saying goes, once they’re gone, they’re gone!

This single cask yielded just 295 bottles and after spending 6 years in an Oloroso sherry barrel, it is jam-packed with red fruit flavours and spices. It has been bottled at cask strength (a whopping 58%!) and has naturally not been chill-filtered.

This distinctive whiskey is the third expression of Athrú 14 year old single malt. It was matured for 10 years in ex bourbon American oak and then finished for 4 years in rare Tokaji sweet wine casks. These casks were sourced from a Hungarian vineyard originally planted in the 1720s for Catherine the Great. This was the same time Hazelwood House was built at Lough Gill, Co. Sligo.
Notes: green apples and pear. Long, subtle finish of butterscotch and tobacco.
Keshcoran takes its name from the mystical fairy mountain near Sligo, the reputed birth place of King Cormac, the first great High King of Ireland.

Knocknarea is the second single malt from the Lough Gill Distillery and is also a limited edition of 6,600 bottles. Matured for 11 years in ex bourbon American oak casks and then finished for a minimum of three years in finest Oloroso sherry casks beside Lough Gill.
Notes: mince pies and caramel on the palate, pepper and cigar box finish (medium length).
Knocknarea takes its name from the monolithic mountain to the west of Sligo town which is the final resting place of the legendary warrior Queen Maeve.

Annacoona is a traditional name for Benbulben, the table topped peak that shelters Lough Gill from northerly winds and the setting for the climax of the old Irish myth about the lovers Diarmait & Grania.

Our first edition, the Creation Trilogy is aimed at the discerning whiskey connoisseur. Launched from our 300 year old estate in Sligo and rooted in Irish mythology, these superb whiskeys are packaged to resemble “First edition books”, telling stories of ancient Ireland as documented in the chronicles of medieval Irish history. The artwork on the boxes and bottles reflect the stories on the inside cover, each retelling a foundational story related to the creation of Ireland, the land of Saints and Scholars. The Creation Trilogy, our first release, is displayed in a wooden case, packed in a beautifully designed gold coloured box with all bottles having the same limited edition number on the neck label.
